A Hawaiian In Scandinavia
This is my story.
Hatched in Honolulu, moved to California with my family and then on to England to end up in Norway, where my tattooing started sometime in the early 90's. Tattooed with great artists at Empire Tattoo in Oslo, Nico and Pekka. Moved on to California to work at Flesh in San Diego and having the pleasure to work with Crow, Mike, Gregg J and Rob Hostetter. Had a new stint back in Oslo now at New Kingdom Tattoo with great guest artists Randy Janson, Mark Lee, Bernie Luther,Charlie Shazer, Hollywood Mark, Claus Fuhrmann to name a few. Resident artists Nicholas ,Per Kristian and Morten.
Travelled back to California to snowboard and tattoo in Mammoth, Mammoth Body Art, until I moved back to the surf in San Diego and tattooing at Flesh again for many years with artists like Osh, Crow, Mike M, Jimmy Coffin, Susan Kidder, Adam Fuqua, Morgwn Pennypacker.
Started my own tattoo shop 209Tattoo in Point Loma, CA but closed it to move to Sweden with my Swedish wife, Karin, to take care of family. Worked in Malmö and in Oslo off and on since then. Now I am starting a new chapter with the opening of Shaka Tattoo in Vellinge. Hope to do some great tats here.
